...was very informative and very lonnng. We were definitely there the entire 2.5 hours. It was Hubby and I, as well as one other couple and one lady. This was her second time doing IVF (first time, 4 years ago, gave her an adorable son. She kept showing us all pics...cute kid, but not my focus at the moment. I wanted to smack her.)
We learned about the various meds - their names, what they're used for, about how often I'll take it, etc. While it's still overwhelming in some sense...it felt good to really know what to expect now.
At one point the nurse started to skip over the "hyperstimulation meds" (meds the RE would give you if he feels you're about to over-stimulate), when she points to me and says, "Oh wait... Dr. E says there's a good chance this could happen to you..." - and she continued on to discuss those meds. Ummm... care to expand on that?? Apparently because I already ovulate on my own, these meds could possibly put my body in overdrive. Lovely.
Now we get to sit and wait until Monday...when I have my baseline u/s and b/w. Hopefully all will go well and I'll "get" to start stims monday night! Cross your fingers!
**Sorry, this post sat in "draft" for almost a week!**
