Do you notice the difference here??

These are the meds that Hubby has to take for our IVF cycle.

...and these are the meds I'll be taking. Am I the only one that is noticing a difference here??
Haha... I like my aunt's idea. She said that I should give him a shot a day as well (of saline)...just so he can "feel my pain". Ehhh too much trouble. Instead, I'll soak it for all it's worth. I sense there will be many late night runs to Friendly's for some chocolate Fribbles!
We're enjoying our last "lazy weekend" before the IVF madness begins. Our meds class is scheduled for Weds at 1pm. We were told to plan to be there until about 3:30pm. After the class, we're meeting with the research coordinator to discuss whether or not we would like to partcipate in their research study. Basically, we'll be at the clinic from 1-5pm on Weds. It's gonna be a lonnng day. Hubby ended up taking the day off since there's not way he'd be of any use to them that day.
In other *news*...my older brother and his wife just found out their having a baby *GIRL* in March! We're so excited for them! In all honestly, it was the first time in awhile that happy tears were shed in the Andrews household :) Auntie can not wait to start buying everything girly!
Ok...so I might have already started... Hubby allowed me a quick trip to Target this weekend where I found an adorable onesie with butterflies and a matching bib set. Too cute to pass up. But when I wandered into the next aisle and found some faux Ugg baby boots (in pink of course!), he put a nix on them. Apparently we're on a budget or something..?
When my mom came over that day, I showed her my purchase and admitted that I kind of wanted to get a matching set for our *just in case* this IVF worked...and *just in case* it was a girl...baby. Normally she would have looked at me like I was nuts. (Yes, I used to pick up small things here and there...before we realized how long our road would be.) But this time she agreed. Even my momma has some hope this time!
So what'd I do today?? I went back to Target of course :) Found the matching baby girl set and... well, what if it's a boy?? I didn't want to jinx myself, so I added the boy set to the cart as well! Lord help me if I just jinxed the whole darn thing... but it feels good to be hopeful again.

  1. Haha when you put the photos one after the other like that, it's so lop-sided! Don't forget all the ultrasound and blood draws! Best of luck to you guys. :)

  2. Hope is a fantastic thing. Hang on to it. And glad that you are excited about you niece - one of the worst things about infertility is how it can suck the joy out of these situation.s Hope the onesies get used soon (boy/girl twins?!).
