...then Boston would be my new favorite city!
Hubby and I went to Boston this weekend to visit my bff, "D", and her fiance, "M". I was exactly what we needed. A few days away to just enjoy ourselves with amazing friends. There was no family drama, housework, doctor visits, or bloodwork. It was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. We have beautiful weather; perfect for our day of sightseeing on Saturday. We took a Boston Duck Tour around the city, road the Old Time Trolley around the city, walked around Quincy Market and ate at "Dick's Last Resort" for lunch. Boston is just an absolutely beautiful city. It's so clean and the buildings are so well taken care of. Again, if it wasn't for that darn baseball team of theirs, I could totally see Hubby and I moving to the area.
The boys were in charge of grilling for dinner while D and I prepped the rest of dindin. It was so nice to catch up with her during our "girl time". We talked about tons of things; including our upcoming IUI. I don't think D had realized how quickly things really were moving until I told her that it would probably be sometime at the end of this week! The look on her face was priceless! Get ready Auntie D... we're workin' on getting you a little niece or nephew! :)
Sunday we spent a lazy morning chit-chatting and enjoying a yummy breakfast. Then we went out to lunch and completed the weekend with a thrilling go-kart race and some yummy ice cream. Have you noticed a trend here? Food... I believe this is part of the reason my Hubby and her soon-to-be Hubby get along so well. They both highly enjoy their food :)
We had such a great time! Hubby and I are definitely looking forward to many more trips. I'm even conspiring to get all of us to go to Vermont for a weekend sometime in the fall.
On another note, I finishing taking my Clomid on Sunday. Thankfully, I really didn't seem to have many (if any) side effects. Though Hubby and I did get into a couple heat "disagreements" on occasion, he didn't think I was any more opinionated this week than I normally am! (haha..not sure how to take that!) So now we wait until I get a positive OPK...then it's IUI time! I'm excited that we're getting so close...but it's frustrating that my week/weekend is pretty much on hold. I can't really plan my days (start time for work, etc...) This is not meshing well with my Type A personality. I'm hoping to keep myself busy and just try not to think about it... Wish me luck on that one!
