24 weeks!!

This past saturday we reached another BIG milestone...Viability!! While no parent would ever want their precious babe out this early, it is amazing to realize how quickly the past 24 weeks have flown by! I know I've said it before...but I can't believe she'll be here in just 15/16 short weeks!

Here is our 24 week pic... standing in the spot I *hope* the glider will go (it's an old house...we're hoping it'll actually fit through the doorway!)

In the hopes of slowly down and enjoying the last few weeks, I'm making a promise to myself to *finally* start the weekly surveys...and keep up with them!!

How far along: 24 weeks!!

Weight gain/loss: I'm waaay past the weight loss part! To catch up from the previous 20 weeks... I was up 10 lbs at my 20 week appointment. Not bad at all, according to my OB. However, in the back of my mind, I'm also factoring in the 15 lbs from all the meds (clomid and IVF meds), which I'll also be working on losing. Yikes...up 25 lbs since we started treatments...

Maternity clothes: Yup! Pretty much full time now! I was able to get away with wearing my "regular pants" and the Bella Band up until around 12/14ish weeks. I was thrilled since that got me through student teaching and I didn't have to buy dress-y maternity clothes. Since student teaching ended and I started nannying again, I've lucked out! The kids don't care what I'm wearing, so it's been a lot of sweat pants and comfy cotton maternity shirts! Over the last few weeks, maternity shirts have been a MUST...and I've stocked myself with maternity capris, tanks and some sun dresses. Now I just need the sun!!

Stretch marks: *knock on wood*...nope! Though my mom did just tell me this weekend that she didn't get any with me...until the last two weeks! I'll admit, I haven't really taken the time to lotion up daily...I figure if they're gonna come, there's nothing I can do about it!

Sleep: Depends on the night. The first 15/16 weeks were pretty horrendous! I was up to pee 3-4 times a night! It was ridiculous! I thought for sure it would only get worse...but I think I've lucked out (for now...)! The last 4-5 weeks, I've been able to get about 5-6 straight hours of sleep each night before Kaylee starts using her new trampoline..my bladder! I'm one that needs her sleep, but wow! I never realized how great it would feel to get those 5 hours in a row! I wake up feeling like a new lady these days!

Best moments since last update: Well, since it's technically the first real survey, I guess I'd have to say being able to feel her now. I didn't really feel her (distinct kicks and rolls) until around 21/22 weeks. Around 20 weeks I had started to freak out a bit about this...but at our anatomy u/s I found out I have an anterior placenta. That made me feel MUCH better...at least I wasn't crazy! In the last couple weeks, I've been able to feel her A LOT. She's definitely VERY active at night while we're laying on the couch, watching tv. She also seems to love OJ and chocolate (momma's girl...) and starts kicking like a mad woman when we're in church and the organ is playing!

Food cravings: Ummm anything NOT healthy :( I'm really trying to eat things like salad, fruit, etc... but since I didn't really love that stuff before hand.... I still love me some veggies though! The only time I can think of that I HAD to have a certain food was a couple weeks ago around 9pm...HAD to have Outback cheese fries or someone was going to get hurt...

Gender: Girl!!

Belly Button: still very much in...but it's definitely gotten to be a very wide opening!!

Movement: All the time now! Hubby gets mad at me because if I haven't felt her for awhile, I'll start poking her until she moves or kicks. He thinks the payback will be H*LL! haha...oh well! Mama needs to know she's ok...

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach... sleep is definitely getting better, but I'd pay just about anything to be able to roll from my side to my stomach...and sleep there!

What I'm looking forward to: Next week's OB appt...

Milestones: 24 weeks = V-day!!!
